Senior Accountant - Hybrid

Senior Accountant role at SmartStop Self Storage with hybrid work arrangement (on-site in Ladera Ranch, CA during training and on-site Tue–Thu, with Mon & Fri remote). Responsibilities include assisting with monthly close and financial statement consolidation, maintaining internal controls, preparing financial statements, supporting schedules for internal/external reporting, assisting with annual audits, reviewing monthly reporting, assisting with SEC filings, journal entries and reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, supporting acquisitions integration, and internal variance analyses. Requires a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or comparable work experience, at least 2 years of accounting experience in public or private companies; CPA or licensure in process preferred but not required; experience with GAAP, accounting software, and Microsoft Office; strong organizational and communication skills.
