Job Summary
Senior Accountant responsible for leading the full-cycle close (monthly, quarterly, and annual) in accordance with GAAP, preparing and reviewing journal entries and reconciliations, managing multi-entity consolidations and intercompany transactions, and supporting statutory NAIC filings and regulatory filings. The role partners with FP&A, actuarial, and operations to provide financial reporting and analysis, assists with external audits, and drives process improvements to strengthen internal controls and ensure regulatory compliance within the insurance industry.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA strongly preferred)
- 2+ years of accounting experience, with direct experience in the insurance industry required
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP
- Proven experience with financial consolidations and intercompany accounting
- Experience preparing or supporting NAIC filings and statutory reporting highly preferred
- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
