Job Summary
Senior Accountant responsible for preparing financial statements for assigned properties, including journal entries, GL review, and balance sheet support; deliver timely financial packages to Directors, Property Managers, and clients; independently respond to financial questions; monitor cash balances; resolve issues and respond to review comments; analyze variances and provide explanations; establish resolution plans for complex tenant issues; review and approve AR and AP entries; identify AR exposures and liaise with property management/clients; review leases for accuracy and determine financial intentions; adhere to internal accounting policies; develop procedures for reconciliations; assist in budgeting and provide daily support to Property Management, Asset Management, and Client Accounting; lead monthly operating calls; support events and hospitality accounting activities; manage task priorities and respond to audit requests; assist in setup of properties and balance-loading; participate in internal meetings; offer compensation commensurate with experience; Holladay mission and ENRICH values guide daily interactions.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. in Accounting and 4 or more years of related accounting experience
- Experience reading and understanding leases preferred including retail leases
- Experience in events and food and beverage - hospitality is preferred
- Solid Customer Service and Interpersonal skills
- Attentive to Detail
