Job Summary
Establish and manage standalone QuickBooks Online books, migrating historical data from NetSuite while running full-cycle monthly closes including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals. Manage accounts payable end-to-end and support light accounts receivable, alongside tracking field hardware assets for depreciation. Produce recurring financial reporting and budget-to-actual tracking to support CEO decision-making and upcoming seed fundraising. Coordinate subscription revenue recognition tied to device installation events with internal operations systems. Maintain audit-ready books while partnering with the CEO and future fractional CFO on ad hoc analysis.
Required Qualifications
- 5-10 years of progressive accounting experience
- strong command of US GAAP
- Hands-on experience with both QuickBooks and NetSuite
- comfortable leading a migration between accounting systems
- Full-cycle accounting experience: month-end close, AP/AR, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- experience in a small or early-stage company where you own the process end-to-end
- Comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy in a lean, fast-moving startup environment
- Strong communicator who can flag issues, ask questions, and work independently across time zones
Desired Qualifications
- CPA
- Experience with SaaS or subscription revenue recognition
- experience with hardware-plus-subscription or asset-based revenue models
