Senior Accountant overseeing general ledger reconciliations and monthly journal entries, ensuring SOX compliance and GAAP adherence, driving close processes, and supporting audits. Responsibilities include GL reconciliation of high-complexity accounts, month-end close facilitation, quarter/year-end reporting, SOX 404 controls, accruals, journal entries, and preparation of financial reports. The role also involves training new staff, collaborating with audit teams, and contributing to continuous process improvements; requires 3+ years of accounting experience, a Bachelor's in accounting, Excel proficiency, and CPA-eligible preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years of accounting experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- CPA eligible preferred
- Working knowledge of MS Excel
- Thorough understanding of GAAP
- Ability to manage multiple projects
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with SOX controls
- Experience with external and internal audits
- Training/documentation experience
