Job Summary
Prepare journal entries, reconcile general ledger accounts, and produce monthly schedules to support the month-end close. Analyze financial results, assist with quarterly and year-end audits, and prepare reports for management. Maintain GAAP accrual ledgers and ensure compliance with SICs and business practices. Coordinate closely with the Director, Manager, Operations, and auditors. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required with six years of experience preferred. Must hold a valid gaming license and possess strong proficiency in Excel and accounting software.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 21+ years of age
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance required
- Six (6) years of Accounting/Financial experience or related degree preferred
- Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, Word, Accounting GL Software
- Strong organizational skills
- Detail-oriented, innovative, flexible, task-oriented, and can work independently with minimal direction
- Good decision-making abilities
- Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members, and Management in both written and verbal form
- Effective interdepartmental communication and coordination
- Strong technical accounting skills
- Flexible working hours and schedule required
- Must hold or be able to obtain a gaming license through the Gun Lake Tribal Gaming Commission
- Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color, and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols
- Must have the manual dexterity to operate job-related equipment
- Ability to sit, walk, stand, run, and climb stairs for the duration of shift
- Must have the ability to access all properties and areas
- Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs. with or without assistance
- Ability to read, write, and input data into the computer
- Ability to stoop, crouch and kneel
- All applicants must be able to demonstrate their US work authorization during the employment verification process
- The pre-employment process also requires passing a criminal background investigation and drug test
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in lieu of a degree may be considered
- Gaming experience preferred
