Job Summary
Prepare, review, and approve complex accounting entries and reconciliations while leading monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities. Monitor contract expenditures, assist in budget development and forecasting, and review financial transactions for accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Serve as the primary fiscal contact for assigned programs, providing guidance and technical assistance to Accountants and program staff. Coordinate documentation for audits and monitoring reviews, research accounting issues, and recommend process improvements. Collaborate with cross-functional departments to address fiscal matters and establish internal controls. Flexible hours may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- Five (5) to seven (7) years of progressively responsible accounting experience
- Experience preparing financial reports, reconciliations, and budget analyses
- Valid driver's license
- Proof of insurance with a good driving record
Desired Qualifications
- Additional relevant experience in lieu of required education
- Experience with MIP Fund Accounting Software
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential or progress toward CPA
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
