Job Summary
Senior Accountant responsible for hands-on general ledger close and maintaining the balance sheet across payroll, fixed assets, lease accounting, and debt in a fast-growing CPG environment; collaborates with Accounting Manager and finance team to ensure accurate external reporting, with GAAP expertise, strong controls, and process discipline.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CPA candidate preferred
- 3–5 years of accounting experience; public company or Big 4/regional public accounting experience strongly preferred
- Experience supporting external financial reporting and audit processes, including preparation of workpapers and schedules consistent with external reporting standards
- Working knowledge of ASC 842 (leases) and ASC 360 (fixed assets)
- Strong understanding of internal controls over financial reporting; SOX experience a plus
- Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, NetSuite, or similar) and advanced Excel
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet close deadlines
