Senior Accountant – Global Mobility Tax

Job Summary
Manage day-to-day client engagements and deliverables by preparing Australian income tax returns for inbound and outbound expatriates, Fringe Benefits Tax returns, and hypothetical tax calculations. Advise on Australian tax issues affecting internationally mobile employees, conduct technical research, and liaise directly with clients, assignees, and external advisers. Support Partners on advisory projects, contribute to technical publications, and assist in mentoring junior team members. Requires approximately 3–5 years of experience in Global Mobility Tax, strong Australian income tax knowledge, and a CA, CPA, or CTA qualification. Required Qualifications
- Approximately 3–5 years' experience in Global Mobility, Expatriate Tax, Employment Tax, Individual Tax or a related area
- Experience gained within a Big 4, mid-tier accounting firm, specialist mobility practice, law firm or the Australian Taxation Office
- Strong Australian income tax knowledge
- Experience preparing tax returns for internationally mobile employees
- Exposure to expatriate tax, tax equalisation and global mobility compliance matters
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational and project management skills
- The ability to build relationships and communicate confidently with clients and senior executives
- A proactive attitude and willingness to take ownership of client outcomes
- Degree qualified in Accounting, Commerce, Business, Law or a related discipline
- CA, CPA, CTA or Masters qualification completed or in progress
