Job Summary
Maintain the General Ledger for multiple German legal entities, ensuring transactions are recorded accurately in line with Group accounting policies, IFRS, and HGB. Support the preparation of statutory financial statements, annual audits, and monthly VAT returns while investigating reconciling items and resolving balance sheet discrepancies. Collaborate with international finance teams to manage the global intercompany reconciliation process and contribute to system improvements and finance projects that enhance efficiency and strengthen internal controls. Fluent German and English are required, along with a professional accounting qualification or active studies towards ACCA, ACA, or CPA.
Required Qualifications
- University degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- Professional accounting qualification or active studies towards ACCA, ACA, CPA, Bilanzbuchhalter, Steuerfachwirt or an equivalent qualification
- Solid knowledge of IFRS and HGB
- Experience in General Ledger Accounting or Legal Entity Accounting within a medium to large international organisation
- Fluent German and English
