Senior Accountant - General Ledger

Job Summary
Conduct the general ledger close across multiple legal entities, preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules for the balance sheet, cash, intercompany, prepaids, fixed assets, and leases. Reconcile treasury accounts and clear items across third-party payment platforms, while investigating out-of-balance positions in intercompany receivables and payables. Support payroll and benefits accounting by mapping GL entries between the payroll platform and the ledger. Prepare monthly financial statements and flux analysis with written commentary. Help rebuild the close process by documenting procedures, establishing controls, and migrating manual workarounds into NetSuite. This record-to-report seat reports to the Director of Corporate Accounting and joins a finance team focused on scaling AI infrastructure.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
- hands-on monthly close work
- a mix of public accounting and high-growth industry experience
- Demonstrated command of the balance sheet close
- cash reconciliation
- intercompany reconciliation
- prepaids accounting
- fixed assets accounting
- payroll accounting
- Experience supporting an external audit as a preparer
- building workpapers that stand on their own
- Excellent written communication
- Advanced Excel
- comfort working with large transaction datasets

- in-office requirements of 2 days per week
Desired Qualifications
- Active CPA (or CPA candidate)
- a strong public-accounting foundation
- Working knowledge of ASC 842
- Exposure to ASC 805 purchase accounting
- multi-entity consolidation
- ERP experience
- NetSuite implementation or migration
- comfort working in QuickBooks during transition
