Job Summary
Senior Accountant, General Ledger in Europe at Revolution Medicines. This role supports daily European GL close activities, prepares journal entries and reconciliations, VAT reporting, intercompany accounting, fixed assets, and assists with audits and financial reporting packages. Located in Basel, Switzerland with hybrid work arrangement; requires 5+ years of accounting experience, a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting/Finance, and fluency in English. Collaboration across Accounts Payable, Payroll, Tax, FP&A, and other teams, with opportunities to contribute to process improvements and ERP projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years accounting experience, preferably with general ledger responsibilities
- Experience supporting European entities and working with local statutory, VAT, or audit requirements
- Strong understanding of accruals, reconciliations, intercompany accounting, and month-end close
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Workday, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar
- Fluency in English; additional European languages a plus
- Professional accounting qualification or progress toward certification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CPA, or local equivalent) is preferred
- Experience in life sciences, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, technology, or other high-growth industries
