Job Summary
Monitor, analyze, reconcile, and troubleshoot bank accounting systems and transactions for financial impact, regulatory compliance, and management reporting. Complete complex General Ledger and Internal DDA account reconciliations, identify open items, ensure proper clearing, and report large or suspicious transactions. Collaborate with bank departments to resolve reconciliation issues, record transactions, and communicate outcomes. Evaluate procedure documents for changes, ensure adherence to SOX controls, and update workflows based on audit findings. Understand new banking products by analyzing accounting impacts, attending planning meetings, writing procedure documents, and training staff. Perform duties as the back-up business administrator, including importing files and modifying reconciliation conditions. Attend internal audit meetings and respond to research requests.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent experience. Specialty: Accounting.
- 3 or more years accounting.
- 1 or more years financial services or banking.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship for a work visa by Fulton Bank currently or in the future.
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of bank deposit operations, loan operations, and cash management processes, with the ability to apply that understanding to daily work and problem‐solving.
- Knowledge of and/or prior experience using automated account reconciliation systems (e.g., Blackline) to support efficient and accurate financial reconcilement processes.
- Skill in writing detailed procedures and creating process flow documentation, including the ability to translate operational steps into clear, structured materials.
