Job Summary
Senior Accountant for Fixed Assets and lease accounting responsible for recording fixed asset additions/disposals, reconciling CIP and asset movements, guiding capitalization decisions, monitoring capital authorization and expenditures vs budget, performing month-end close for fixed assets and leases (including depreciation and amortization), maintaining lease records, preparing footnotes/disclosures, collaborating with Tax on MACRS depreciation, and supporting audits. Proficiency in fixed asset systems (e.g., Dynamics AX), LeaseQuery, and strong Excel skills are required; candidate should have SOX/GAAP knowledge and seek CPA designation.
Required Qualifications
- A./B.S. in Accounting or Finance
- 4+ years of General Accounting or Fixed Assets experience
- Knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley and GAAP
- Proficient in MS Excel
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills
- 1 year of fixed asset accounting experience, preferred
- 1 year of lease accounting experience, a plus but not required
- Preferred Qualifications - Knowledge of LeaseQuery
- CPA Candidate (preferred)
