Job Summary
Conduct monthly financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP, including journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations. Prepare financial reports, analyses, projections, budgets, and tax documentation for external auditors. Manage accounts payable, check runs, cash management, and forecasting while maintaining fixed asset records and accounting controls. Process compliance requests such as W-9s and COIs, coordinate with the Controller on financial information, and develop process improvements in finance functions. Report to the Controller with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and 5+ years of relevant experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting and finance experience
- Deep understanding of financial close process, including the preparation of journal entries, reconciliation schedules and financial statement packages
- Experience in financial operations including A/R, A/P, treasury, payroll, and state and local tax compliance
- Great written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced computer skills and ability to quickly learn and adopt new software tools, experience with accounting software
- High degree of professionalism and strong sense of ownership and pride in your work
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Mental stamina for problem-solving and prioritizing multiple tasks
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

Desired Qualifications
- Working knowledge of QuickBooks, SAGE Intacct, a plus
- Background in trades environment: construction, electrical, HVAC, a plus
- CPA or desire to pursue CPA designation, a plus
