Senior Accountant - Financial Project Control

Job Summary
Develop and implement accounting processes for project accounting, overseeing ERP modules from opening to closing while ensuring general ledger reconciliation. Prepare financial statements, monthly budget updates for project managers, and quarterly presentations for senior leadership. Supervise junior accountants and coordinate IT collaboration to automate efficiency improvements within the project information platform. Monitor procurement activities, establish rigorous internal controls, and prepare audit and tax documentation. This role supports Innergex's renewable energy portfolio across Canada, the US, France, and Chile, requiring bilingualism and proficiency in Oracle Fusion, OneStream, and Power BI.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- CPA Professional Designation
- Accounting experience within a multi-entity, multi-project organization
- Excellent ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong organizational, planning, and multitasking skills
- Great attention to detail, thoroughness, and precision
- Independence, initiative, and the ability to learn quickly
- Ability to take initiative and suggest improvements
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong team spirit
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Excellent skills with financial systems and tools
- Bilingualism (French and English, both spoken and written)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience managing multiple currencies is a plus
- Knowledge of Oracle Fusion, OneStream, and Power BI is a significant asset
