Senior Accountant / Financial Analyst

Job Summary
Develop and maintain complex financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and scenario analysis. Analyze quarterly and annual financial performance, monitor key performance indicators, and communicate insights to leadership. Lead month-end and year-end close processes, prepare journal entries, perform reconciliations, and ensure GAAP compliance. Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to provide financial guidance and recommend profitability improvements. Mentor junior staff and implement process efficiencies through automation. Work in-office Monday through Friday in Austin, Texas with 3–5 years of experience and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3–5+ years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, corporate finance, or a related role
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modeling, pivot tables, and advanced formulas
- Experience with QuickBooks and/or ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle
- Ability to work in-office Monday through Friday in Austin, Texas
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present financial information to non-financial audiences
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strategic mindset with strong business acumen
Desired Qualifications
- MBA in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- CPA or CFA designation
- Experience in hard money lending or commercial real estate lending (Bridge, DSCR, or Renovation Loans)
- Experience with warehouse lending facilities
- Experience preparing partnership and investor tax filings
