Senior Accountant - Energy Derivatives

Job Summary
Senior Derivative Accountant leads end-to-end accounting for derivative transactions across natural gas, power, and environmental markets; partners with trading, risk, legal, and tax to assess accounting implications of complex and structured deals; supports month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes with reconciliations, variance analysis, and reporting; prepares technical accounting memos and maintains policies to ensure GAAP/IFRS compliance and audit readiness.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- CPA (or eligibility) required
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- derivatives accounting experience in energy trading or commodities
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP; IFRS experience a plus
- advanced Excel and ERP/trading platforms experience
