Job Summary
Analyze financial data, summarize financial status, and prepare comprehensive financial and consolidated statements while maintaining the general ledger and supporting month-end and year-end close processes. Direct internal and external audits to ensure full adherence to GAAP principles and internal controls, and develop, document, and review business processes and accounting policies to enhance operational efficiency. Prepare and review payroll, assist in filing federal, state, and local tax forms, and mentor accounting staff. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in accounting with at least three years of manufacturing experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software like IQMS or Crystal Reports, and the ability to report to the brick-and-mortar office daily.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- Minimum of 3 years of related accounting experience in the manufacturing industry
- Comprehensive understanding of general financial accounting, cost accounting, and GAAP standards
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a professional demeanor
- High attention to detail, exceptional analytical capabilities, and the ability to work independently or within a team with a strong sense of urgency on time-sensitive projects
- Ability to sit or stand at a desk working on a computer for prolonged periods
- Ability to lift up to 15 lbs as needed
- Must be able to report to and work in the brick-and-mortar office
- Flexibility on working hours based on unplanned business needs
Desired Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access
- Familiarity with accounting software, with IQMS and/or Crystal Reports
