Job Summary
Maintain the General Ledger and manage month-end and year-end close processes, including setting up payroll and accounts payable accruals. Prepare journal entries, reconcile intercompany accounts, and balance sheet accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting and tax returns. Analyze revenue and expense accounts, fixed assets, and sales tax returns while documenting internal controls and supporting audit coordination. Indirectly supervise accounts payable processing and resolve accounting inquiries for internal and external stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality or food production industry
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including formulas and functions) and Microsoft Word
- Solid knowledge of accounting principles and best practices
- Proven ability to solve problems resourcefully and effectively
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Experience with manual data entry systems and a hands-on approach to work
- Ability to collaborate effectively within international and cross-functional teams
- Experience working with multiple departments, all levels of staff, and external vendors
- Ability to work long hours on foot and in environments with varying temperatures
- Flexibility to work different shifts (including nights, weekends, and holidays) based on business needs
