Job Summary
Conduct monthly financial reporting by creating journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and ensuring timely month-end activities. Assist in preparing monthly financial statements and analyze variances related to rebates and special pricing discounts. Respond to internal and external audit requests on quarterly and annual bases while researching issues with process owners. Contribute to developing new or amended accounting processes and perform financial analysis as required. Maintain the general ledger and execute other accounting duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3 plus years of progressive financial accounting experience working with all aspects of financial accounting
- Strong understanding of US GAAP
- Strong accounting, analytical and variance analysis skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and an ability to work with various levels of management across Cornerstone
- Proficiency of MS Excel and Word applications
- Solid financial accounting principles and working knowledge of cost accounting in a manufacturing environment
- Must be at least 18 years of age to apply
