Senior Accountant (Consultancy Role)

Job Summary
Manage day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness through processing payments for suppliers and contractors. Oversee accounts reconciliations, collections, and receivables management while addressing existing financial and data entry backlogs. Coordinate with external auditors, provide required documentation, and ensure statutory and tax compliance including PAYE, VAT, and NSSF. Prepare financial reports, ledgers, and supporting schedules to support management in implementing financial controls. Uphold confidentiality and integrity in managing large volumes of client funds. This temporary consultancy role requires immediate start and spans 3–6 months, renewable based on performance.
Required Qualifications
- CPA (K) qualification (Certified Public Accountant – Kenya)
- Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in a reputable audit or accounting firm
- Strong understanding of IFRS, tax laws, and accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar)
- Proven ability to handle high-value financial transactions with honesty and precision
- Immediate start required
