Job Summary
Senior Accountant with construction-industry expertise responsible for job cost accounting, AR, and construction billing. Oversees monthly GL and balance-sheet reconciliations, posts journal entries, supports month-end/year-end close, monitors cash flow for project-based forecasting, and prepares internal reports. Manages AIA progress billings, schedule of values, lien waivers, and invoicing cycles; coordinates with Project Managers, Sales, and Ownership; maintains customer billing portals and contract documentation; strong emphasis on job costing, profitability analysis across up to 50 active projects, and experience with Sage Intacct or similar ERP systems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred
- 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in commercial construction
- Strong knowledge of job costing and construction accounting processes
- Experience with AIA billing, schedule of values, and lien waivers
- Proficiency in Sage Intacct or similar job costing/accounting systems preferred
- Solid understanding of general ledger accounting and reconciliations
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret job cost and profitability data
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
