Job Summary
Lead revenue and account reconciliations for assigned divisions, preparing monthly journal entries, accruals, and divisional financial statements while ensuring month-end closing deliverables meet preset deadlines. Analyze financial results to articulate root causes of variances to management, coordinate cross-functionally for audits and supplemental reporting, and reconcile intercompany transactions. Contribute to procedure improvements, implement best practices for timeliness and accuracy, and provide ad-hoc assistance on Retail Accounting projects. Requires 3-4 years of General Ledger experience in Retail, Insurance, or Hospitality with strong US GAAP knowledge.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting
- 3 – 4 years of General Ledger accounting experience in Retail, Insurance, or Hospitality industries
- Good understanding of US GAAP
- Strong capacity to research and resolve accounting issues
- Excellent Excel and/or Access Database experience
- Strong attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines under pressure
- Thrives in fast paced and complex work environments
- Ability to analyze data
- Ability to effectively communicate findings either verbally or in written form
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management and external service providers
