Job Summary

Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing data, document financial transactions, and summarize current financial status through balance sheets and profit and loss reports. Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts, assist with month-end processes and annual audit preparations, and investigate account discrepancies or non-compliance issues. Research and present accounting controls to the Finance Operations Manager, prepare tax returns, and identify areas for improvement to implement process enhancements. Ensure compliance with GAAP, FASB, and internal control standards while handling confidential agency and personnel information. Work under the general supervision of the Finance Operations Manager with a 40-hour week, reporting to the Finance Operations Manager.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors' degree in accounting or relevant degree
  • Five years' experience
  • Non-profit fund accounting experience
  • Ability to handle highly confidential information
  • Computer literacy
  • Ability to create and understand complex spreadsheets
  • Ability to utilize word processing
  • Ability to learn accounting and clinical software systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to type quickly and accurately
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principals
  • Functional knowledge of business English
  • Functional knowledge of medical terminology
  • Good spelling and mathematical skills
  • Ability to learn assigned tasks readily
  • Ability to adhere to general office procedures
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to use standard office equipment
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral formats
  • Ability to present and exchange information internally across teams and co-workers
  • Ability to exchange information externally with customers and the public
  • Must pass all criminal history check requirements
  • Must adhere to rules and laws pertaining to client confidentiality
  • Must adhere to agency standards for employee and agency confidentiality
  • Must hold a valid driver's license
  • Must have personal auto insurance for privately owned Vehicles utilized for CCS business
  • Must show proof of $300,000 or more liability coverage for bodily injury
  • Must show proof of $100,000 or more liability coverage for property damage
  • Must maintain said level of insurance coverage for the duration of employment
  • Must be able to sit
