Senior Accountant

Senior Accountant role within Cohesity’s Finance & Accounting team based in Bangalore. The incumbent will manage end-to-end General Ledger accounting, support monthly/quarterly/annual closes, prepare and post journal entries (including accruals and intercompany transactions), perform bank reconciliations, and liaise with AP, Tax, and Payroll teams to ensure accurate GL balances. Responsibilities include preparing monthly MIS reports and management reporting schedules, conducting monthly reconciliations in FloQast, providing variance explanations, coordinating with FP&A for accrual accounting and reporting, and handling payroll-related entries and statutory filings. Additional duties cover maintaining the Fixed Asset Register, supporting internal and external audits, ensuring policy compliance and internal controls, and participating in process improvements. The role also involves building automated reporting and agentic AI solutions using approved AI tools (Claude, Copilot) to improve financial reporting effectiveness. Requires strong accounting fundamentals, experience with US GAAP/IGAAP/Ind AS, end-to-end GL exposure, and ability to collaborate across teams in a fast-paced, hybrid-work environment. The ideal candidate should possess CA or CA Inter qualifications with 6–10 years of accounting experience, familiarity with NetSuite, SAP Concur, FloQast, Tableau, and a track record of leveraging AI tools to streamline workflows.
