Job Summary
Manage a portfolio of business clients as their primary accounting advisor, ensuring financial records are accurate and tax-ready. Serve as the firm's subject matter expert by reviewing complex accounting issues, assisting with cleanup projects, and providing guidance across various business entities. Mentor the team by reviewing work, answering technical questions, and establishing consistent accounting standards through training and one-on-one coaching. Improve systems and processes by evaluating workflows, implementing automation, and developing documentation to enhance efficiency and client service. Lead client onboarding by assessing needs, establishing workflows, and implementing accounting systems before transitioning ongoing relationships. Collaborate across bookkeeping, payroll, tax, and consulting teams to provide seamless, proactive support.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- Five or more years of professional accounting experience
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online
- Strong technical accounting knowledge across multiple business entity structures
- Experience preparing tax-ready financial statements and collaborating with tax professionals
- Ability to analyze complex accounting issues and develop practical solutions
- Experience mentoring, training, or leading accounting staff
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple client needs
- A collaborative mindset, professional judgment, and commitment to exceptional client service
