Job Summary
Prepare financial statements, tax returns, and management reports in accordance with current standards and legislative requirements. Analyze financial information to provide practical business and taxation advice across GST, CGT, and FBT matters. Develop client understanding to deliver high-quality accounting and advisory services while mentoring junior team members. Identify and resolve complex accounting and taxation issues through clear, documented working papers. This role supports a diverse client portfolio within RSM Australia, a leading professional services firm with over 100 years of experience. Candidates must be fluent in Xero and possess a Commerce degree with an Accounting major, with pathways to Chartered Tax Accountant or CPA studies.
Required Qualifications
- Fluent in preparation of Financial Statements using Xero software
- Strong Communication Skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Committed to continuing professional development
- Business / Commerce degree with Accounting Major
- On a pathway to completion of Chartered Tax Accountant or Certified Practicing Accountant studies
- Ability to use accounting software including: Xero MYOB Quickbooks Agrimaster Figured CashPeek
- Commitment to work in an open plan layout
- Focus on productivity and continuous improvement in processes
