Job Summary
Own the monthly close process from checklist to delivered financials, preparing accurate, GAAP-compliant statements on a consistent cadence. Manage revenue recognition across e-commerce, wholesale, and retail channels while owning accounts receivable and inventory accounting including landed cost tracking. Execute daily AP processing, oversee bank feed coding and GL postings, and maintain balance sheet reconciliations and chart of accounts integrity. Build channel-level reporting to support decision-making and serve as the primary accounting point of contact for customers, vendors, and employees. This hands-on role supports the scaling of Burlebo's accounting function, with potential to grow into an Accounting Manager within 12 to 24 months.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in a senior position
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and accrual-basis accounting
- Strong working knowledge of Accounts Receivable
Desired Qualifications
- Public Accounting experience is a huge plus
- CPA or CPA-eligible preferred
- Experience within consumer, retail, apparel, or inventory-driven businesses strongly preferred
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online
- experience with NetSuite or a comparable ERP a plus
- Highly detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable operating in a dynamic environment
- Strong ownership mentality around deadlines, accuracy, and documentation
