Job Summary
Provide full scope accounting support to regional offices and corporate management by coordinating monthly, quarterly, and annual closing cycles and preparing financial statements for lenders, investors, and management. Analyze advisory comments for discrepancies across consolidation levels, verify general ledger accounting through account analysis and reconciliation, and present trend analysis to management. Assist in annual audits by collecting information on general ledger accounts and provide training to less-experienced staff. Maintain accurate fixed asset management and oversight documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance
- four (4) years accounting experience
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Knowledge of cost accounting
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships
- Ability to compose effective and efficient accounting reports
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Proficiency in the use of accounting software package
- May be required to occasionally lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects up to 25 pounds
