Job Summary
Conduct monthly accounting, job cost management, and financial reporting for land projects and related entities. Record and calculate sales, cost of sales, land acquisition, and accruals while monitoring, recording, and reconciling cash activity. Prepare entries for consolidation, elimination, sales billings, reimbursements, and month-end closing, including balance sheet reconciliation and journal entries. Collaborate with internal departments on purchase orders, change orders, budgets, and reclasses, and liaise with auditors to provide requested information and respond to queries. Evaluate and implement internal controls, policies, and procedures for compliance, and review process documentation regularly. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end working papers and reports, verify land development budgets, and handle special projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- CPA or CPA-track
- Experience in financial reporting and working paper preparation
- Full-cycle and job cost accounting
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, including Excel, Word and Outlook
- Ability to utilize intermediate Excel formulas to develop ad-hoc templates and streamline processes for automation
- Brookfield Real Estate ecosystem experience
