Job Summary
Journalize monthly transactions and allocation accruals to the general ledger, prepare daily cash reports, and reconcile bank accounts and balance sheet accounts. Analyze financial statements to assess program performance, oversee fixed assets accounting including periodic inventories, and prepare financial reports for funders and external audits. Coordinate data collection for audits and assist the Accounting Manager in developing procedures and evaluating solutions. This role supports Brightpoint's mission to advance the well-being of children through data-informed, preventative solutions in human services.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a closely related field
- Minimum of five (5) years of accounting experience
Desired Qualifications
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Proficient knowledge and understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting, including non-profit accounting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, Access and accounting systems
- Experience with Sage Intacct software
