Job Summary
Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP. Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, oversee budget and forecast preparation, and monitor general ledger accounts including journal entries and reconciliations. Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions, coordinate with internal and external auditors, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Identify process improvements and collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights. This onsite role at the Coushatta Forest Products Sawmill requires Monday through Friday hours with occasional overtime.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 - 5 years of professional accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Proficiency in accounting software systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and Excel
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of industry-specific accounting practices and regulations
- Onsite In-person role
- Monday through Friday, weekends and occasional overtime as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation
- Experience with ERP systems
- Familiarity with tax regulations and compliance requirements in the United States
- Previous experience in a senior or supervisory accounting role
- Advanced skills in data analysis and financial modeling
