Job Summary
Review and verify revenue recognition for Canada Consulting, Valuation & Advisory, and Project Management services. Process commission calculations for Valuation and Consulting practices and assist with month-end close activities including NetSuite G/L reviews, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial statement compilation. Review general ledger activity for accuracy, create accruals, and complete bank reconciliations. Support preparation of variance analysis, schedules for external auditors, and the annual budget and forecast process. This role is based on-site in Canada and offers a base salary range of $75,000 to $95,000 with bonus potential. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited institution
- 5-7 years of experience
- Certified Public Accountant / or in process of gaining certification
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Extremely strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines, with attention to detail and the ability to work independently
- Proven ability to respond within short time constraints and meet deadlines, while maintaining accuracy
- Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office products
- Experience drafting and/or editing financial statements and footnotes
- High technical accounting proficiency, with experience auditing account reconciliations and revenue recognition
- exposure to US GAAP
- Multi-national experience, or exposure to accounting in a multi-currency environment
- NetSuite, Adaptive, Solution 7, and Active Disclosure experience
