Job Summary
Own key accounting processes for Avant Energy, Avant Operations, and additional clients, including financial reporting, month-end close, client billing, and general ledger administration. Serve as the primary administrator of the project management system, managing engagement setup, time and expense activities, and billing workflows. Lead monthly close and variance analysis for assigned entities while overseeing fixed assets and supporting audits and budgeting. Manage the accounting support team by establishing priorities, assigning work, and reviewing deliverables to ensure accuracy and timeliness. Improve accounting, billing, and reporting processes while strengthening documentation and controls.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 7–10 years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong experience with financial reporting
- Strong experience with month-end close
- Strong experience with general ledger accounting
- Strong experience with GAAP
- Strong systems aptitude
