Job Summary
Senior Accountant, Assurance at Baker Tilly: Lead and execute audit, review and assurance engagements; prepare and review T2 corporate, T1 personal, and T3 trust tax returns as well as T4/T5 summaries; prepare and review compilation engagement reports; assist partners with tax planning and compliance; mentor and train junior staff; collaborate in a mid-size public accounting environment; require Canadian CPA designation and strong organizational and communication skills; location options include Victoria, Westshore, or Sidney, BC with in-person work; salary range $65,000-$90,000; benefits include extended medical, RRSP matching, paid overtime, and vacation.
Required Qualifications
- Canadian CPA designation
- Public practice accounting experience (minimum 2 years)
- Tax preparation experience (T2, T1, T3, T4/T5)
- Ability to mentor staff
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Team-based work experience
- Willingness to work in a mid-size public accounting firm
- Flexibility for 1 WFH day per week
