Job Summary
Produce accurate and timely financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) in accordance with S. GAAP and company policies. Analyze actual results versus budget and forecast, with focus on mining production costs, equipment utilization, and recovery rates. Partner with site leadership to support operational efficiency and cost control initiatives. Serve as primary administrator for the company's ERP system (SAP Business One). Prepare and review reconciliations for key balance sheet accounts, including cash, inventories, asset retirement obligations, and fixed assets. Prepare audit schedules and provide documentation for internal and external auditors. Monitor and analyze production costs, standard costing, and work-in-progress (WIP). Support the maintenance of a strong internal control environment in line with corporate and regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience
- at least 2+ years in the mining, natural resources, or heavy manufacturing industry
- Strong knowledge of S. GAAP
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting
- Strong knowledge of fixed asset register
- Strong knowledge of inventory valuation methods (FIFO, weighted average, standard cost)
- Advanced proficiency with ERP systems
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Excellent analytical skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- CPA designation (active or in progress)
