Senior Accountant

Job Summary
Prepare and post journal entries across fixed assets, prepaid expenses, accruals, AP, cash, and corporate card activity. Own month-end reconciliations for assigned balance sheet accounts, perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations, and manage the AP cycle end-to-end including invoice coding, approval workflows, and payment runs. Support the monthly and quarterly close calendar, resolve variances, and serve as a key contributor to the annual external audit by owning GL areas from PBC lists through fieldwork. Help build and maintain accounting policies, document processes, and propose automation solutions for manual workflows. Partner with department heads to ensure accurate expense coding and policy compliance while establishing accounting infrastructure.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of accounting experience
- Hands-on experience with GL accounting across multiple areas (fixed assets, prepaids, AP, cash)
- Familiarity with accounting systems such as Campfire ERP and Ramp
Desired Qualifications
- mix of public accounting and industry preferred
- CPA or CPA-eligible strongly preferred
- Experience participating in a system implementation or migration is a strong plus
- Comfortable in ambiguity
- Detail-oriented with a systems mindset
- Genuine curiosity about AI tools and how they can change accounting workflows
