Job Summary
Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements, reconcile general ledger accounts, and analyze intercompany balances to ensure accurate reporting for affiliate corporations. Review vendor invoices and utility bills for accuracy, create payment vouchers, and record necessary journal entries including accruals and adjustments. Maintain accounts receivable aging schedules, upload budgets to TangiCloud, and support the Finance team during key reporting periods and audits. Work onsite four days and remotely one day per week.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field preferred, with a minimum of five (5) years of relevant accounting experience
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work onsite four (4) days per week and remotely one (1) day per week, as required
Desired Qualifications
- Nonprofit accounting experience preferred
- Familiarity with Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) legal entity reporting requirements and experience working with government agencies are a plus
- Strong aptitude for leveraging technology, systems, and workflows to improve efficiency
- Experience with fund accounting systems is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership of assignments and deliver results with diligence and accuracy
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Strong collaboration skills and a high degree of accountability for assigned responsibilities
- Commitment to continuous learning, professional development, and process improvement
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to perform variance analysis and identify trends and discrepancies
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and effectively manage competing demands in a fast-paced environment
