Job Summary
Lead the daily operations of the Accounting Department, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Billing. Supervise, mentor, and develop the accounting team while preparing and reviewing account reconciliations and General Ledger activity. Assist the Controller with month-end and year-end close activities, support external audits, and maintain strong internal controls. Develop and improve accounting processes, workflows, and standard operating procedures, identifying opportunities to increase efficiency through automation and process improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- Previous accounting leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Manufacturing or distribution accounting experience strongly preferred
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis
- Experience working with ERP systems (Sage experience is a plus)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- A continuous improvement mindset with a passion for making processes more efficient
