Job Summary
Senior Accountant role at Door County Medical Center focused on financial integrity and strategic planning. Responsible for preparing and analyzing financial statements, coordinating key reporting and compliance activities, assisting with budgeting, capital planning, and long-range financial analysis. Acts as a technical resource to staff under the Director of Finance, supports departmental coordination and process improvement, and ensures compliance with accounting standards, organizational policies, and governmental reporting requirements. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and five+ years of accounting experience in healthcare accounting; proficient in general ledger, A/P, fixed assets, and Microsoft Office; strong analytical and communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Five or more years of accounting experience with knowledge of healthcare accounting and reimbursement preferred
- Strong analytical, customer service and communication skills
- Experience with general ledger, accounts payable, fixed assets, computer systems, and Microsoft Applications
