Job Summary
Build, design, and present complex solutions to customers while collaborating with Product Teams, Product Engineering, Professional Services, and Sales teams to ensure excellent customer experience. Serve as a trusted subject matter expert to gain the trust of IT professionals and build long-lasting relationships within key accounts. Prepare detailed product specifications and implement customer installation plans, demonstrating expertise by delivering white papers and presenting at conferences and user groups. Support the Sales team with recommendations for development and implementation of complex offerings to help achieve sales quotas, deployment, and service objectives. Domestic travel is required up to 25% of the time to customer sites and internal and external conferences, with travel expenses covered by Red Hat.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
- Eight (8) years of experience in the job offered or related role
- Eight (8) years of experience working in software engineering, consulting, infrastructure management, sales engineering, or in a solutions architecture role
- Five (5) years of experience with Linux system administration
- Five (5) years of experience with one or more virtualization providers
- Five (5) years of experience giving technical presentations to small and large groups of business, technical, management, and leadership audiences
- Three (3) years of experience with one or more public cloud providers including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or IBM Cloud, and their integration with enterprise customers
- Three (3) years of experience implementing and deploying Kubernetes and related CNCF landscape projects
- Three (3) years of experience with IT architecture management, including creating and following complex architecture implementation plans
- Three (3) years of experience with hyperscaler services
- Domestic travel up to 25% of the time to customer sites and internal and external conferences
