Senior Account Manager

Job Summary
Develop and execute strategic account plans to achieve and exceed sales targets within the assigned territory. Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities while expanding existing customer relationships with key decision-makers, laboratory managers, clinicians, and procurement teams. Lead commercial discussions, manage complex sales cycles including tenders and negotiations, and drive adoption of Molecular Diagnostics solutions by proposing value-based approaches. Deliver accurate sales forecasting, opportunity pipeline management, and business reviews through CRM and regular reporting. Monitor market trends, competitive activities, and healthcare policies to identify growth opportunities and commercial risks. Collaborate with Marketing, Field Service, Technical Support, and regional teams to ensure successful project implementation and customer satisfaction. Participate in product launches, scientific meetings, and seminars. Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. Share market intelligence and commercial best practices with the sales team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Biomedical Science, Medical Laboratory Science, or a related discipline
- 3–5 years of sales experience in Molecular Diagnostics, Life Sciences, or In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD)
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets and developing strategic customer relationships
- Good understanding of the Malaysia healthcare and IVD market landscape
Desired Qualifications
- A Master's degree is an advantage
- Experience managing government, hospitals, or reference laboratory accounts
- Experience in tender management and distributor collaboration
