Job Summary
Senior Account Executive for Public Sector (SLED) responsible for new business development and strategic expansion in State/Local/Higher Education markets. Lead complex end-to-end sales cycles, design territory plays, and cultivate executive relationships with CIOs, CTOs, and Program Directors. Collaborate with Customer Success and Product teams to ensure successful pilot-to-production transitions, coordinate with channel partners and system integrators to accelerate market entry, and maintain a rigorous sales pipeline with accurate quarterly forecasts. Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 7–15 years of technology sales experience in SLED, with a history of seven-figure quotas and knowledge of procurement vehicles like NASPO, GSA, and state contracts, plus an existing network of government contacts.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or relevant certifications preferred
- 7–15 years of demonstrable success in technology sales within SLED markets
- proven track record of seven-figure quotas and closing landmark deals in government sectors
- deep understanding of public sector procurement vehicles (e.g., NASPO, GSA, state-specific contracts)
- existing network of high-level contacts within key state and local agencies
