Job Summary
Senior Account Executive in a field-based, direct-sales capacity accountable for both client retention and growth through contract expansion and introduction of Gartner’s products and services. You will consult with C-level executives to develop enterprise-wide strategies that maximize value delivered by Gartner’s offerings. Key duties include account management to drive retention and expansion, mastery of Gartner’s sales methodology, account planning and territory management, forecast accuracy, maintaining competitive knowledge, and leveraging deep knowledge of Gartner’s products/services. The role requires 8-15 years of proven consultative sales experience in high-technology environments, strong executive-level relationship-building with large enterprises, and excellent presentation skills. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree is preferred. Gartner emphasizes hybrid work arrangements and offers competitive compensation, benefits, and growth opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- 8-15 years of experience in consultative sales, preferably in high technology (services, software, or consultative environment)
- evidence of prior success in Sales
- strong client relationships at C-level within large enterprise organizations
- strong computer proficiency and presentation skills
- knowledge of the full life cycle of the sales process
- Bachelor's or Masters degree – desired
