Job Summary
Senior Account Executive to join HUB International’s Cannabis - Commercial Lines team. Responsibilities include marketing new business (about 75%), advising customers on protective safeguards, warranties, and coverage; comparing forms, endorsements, and exclusions to create summary coverage; handling some renewals (about 25%); negotiating with underwriters on rates and coverage; collaborating on client presentations; verifying policy/audit details received from insurers and handling invoicing; maintaining a suspense system for responses; developing an understanding of clients' business and risk management needs to tailor innovative approaches; data entry for new and existing accounts; understanding agency rating systems and communicating client needs to company personnel; and contributing to a team to manage relationships with clients and carriers.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience managing midsize or larger accounts
- Valid Property & Casualty Insurance license
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Detail oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products
- Experience with Epic Agency Management Systems preferred
