Job Summary
The Senior A&A Associate at Gross Mendelsohn is responsible for leading audit, review, and compilation engagements for clients across various industries, including nonprofits and government contractors. Key responsibilities include planning and executing audit engagements, preparing and reviewing financial statements, evaluating internal controls, managing engagement progress, and mentoring junior staff. The role requires strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, auditing standards, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, a CPA license, and possess 4-6 years of relevant public accounting experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA license required
- 4–6 years of audit and accounting experience in a public accounting firm
- Experience serving as the in-charge of audit engagements
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with nonprofit organizations (including Single Audits), employee benefit plans, or government contractors preferred
- Experience preparing tax returns including Form 990, corporate, partnership, and individual returns, is a plus
- Experience with CCH ProSystems Engagement preferred
- Experience with CCH ProSystems FX or Access a plus
