Job Summary
Support the AM Lead Chef with lunch service and the PM Lead Chef with dinner service while maintaining high standards of food quality, freshness, and presentation through regular inspections and taste tests. Adhere strictly to food safety and sanitation protocols, including proper ingredient handling, storage, disposal, and thorough cleaning of kitchen equipment. Collaborate with sous chefs, prep cooks, and dishwashers to ensure smooth operations and timely meal delivery, while interacting professionally with guests to address inquiries, special requests, and feedback. Work with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef to minimize waste and communicate with FOH staff regarding dietary restrictions. Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations, health codes, and licensing requirements. Requires flexibility to work throughout the week, including evenings for special events.
Required Qualifications
- Self Disciplined, knows how to take the lead and see that tasks get completed to the end
- Maintain a pleasant, polite manner, and a neat and clean appearance
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and interact professionally with guests
- Knowledge of food safety, cleanliness, and sanitation principles
- Punctuality in order to ensure food is hot and ready on time for arrivals of guests
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to delivering flawless service
- Flexibility to work throughout the week, including evenings as needed to accommodate special events and activities
- Position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, lifting products and supplies weighing 50 or more pounds, and repetitive hand and wrist motion
- Work with hot, cold, and hazardous equipment
