Job Summary
1:1 SEND Playworker in Burgess Hill for after-school club. Provide tailored 1:1 support to a child with Autism and ADHD, delivering sensory and play-based activities in a safe, inclusive environment. Build trust, support transitions, and collaborate with team, families, and schools to maintain clear communication and consistency. Uphold safeguarding, SEND, and Health & Safety procedures; maintain documentation (e.g., incident forms). Flexible, patient, and proactive approach; suitable for someone with real SEND experience and a passion for inclusion.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working with SEND
- Safeguarding knowledge
- DBS check/Enhanced DBS
- Ability to plan and deliver sensory and play-based activities
- Strong communication with families and schools
- Behaviour management and emotional regulation support
