Job Summary
Provide 1:1 or 2:1 educational support to children and young people in their homes or specialist settings in Oxford during the school day. Deliver personalised, creative sessions lasting 3 to 5 hours that reflect each learner's needs, interests, and abilities, specifically engaging with students who may have autism, global developmental delay, or complex needs. Work flexibly as part of a compassionate, expert-led team while maintaining up-to-date understanding of safeguarding and child protection. A minimum of 2 consistent weekdays of availability is required.
Required Qualifications
- Qualified teachers, tutors, teaching assistants, SEN specialists, and education professionals with experience supporting children and young people
- A background in Primary, Secondary and Post 16 teaching, or specialist SEND environments
- Experience or interest in working with students with autism, communication needs, and learning difficulties
- A minimum of 2 consistent weekdays of availability
- Up-to-date understanding of safeguarding and child protection
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with Makaton, PECS, or other communication strategies along with de-escalation and behaviour management training
